Cameroon : The seven French hostages freed

The presidency signed a communiqué this 19th April informing the national and international opinion.

DABANGA – CAMEROON – Two months exactly as they were taken hostages by the Nigerian Islamic sect boko haram in the locality of Dabanga in the Far North region of Cameroon, the Moulin family finally gained freedom in the night of 18th April. According to the communiqué from the presidency, the freed hostages have been handed over to the Cameroonian government. The communiqué does not give any further information about the health of the hostages or the negotiations undergone to liberate the hostages, but it should be noted that, the Islamic sect boko haram in the video they published asked for the release of their members detained in Cameroon and Nigeria. The communiqué was read over the state national radio station Crtv, early this Friday morning.
