HONOLULU ( Hannemann Campaign) — Democratic Congressional candidate Mufi Hannemann’s campaign committee announced on October 14, 2011 that they have collected $306,745 in a report that they will file with the Federal Elections Commission.
Hannemann (Hawaii, 2nd District) announced for Congress on August 30 and the report, therefore, shows contributions received from that date to September 30.
Hannemann campaign treasurer, Mary Pat Waterhouse, stated, “We’re pleased and humbled that the response to our fundraising efforts has been overwhelmingly positive in such a short time. Our contributions range from $5 to $5,000 and come from all over the state. Our plans are to build on the strong momentum as we go forward on this long campaign journey to the nation’s Capitol.”
Hannemann said, “I am extremely grateful and appreciative to all of those who have responded to our direct appeal and request for kokua. From the Big Island of Hawaii, to Maui, to Kauai, to Oahu, to Washington, D.C., the generosity of our friends and supporters has been impressive. We are pleased to report that the financial support has been more than matched by the grassroots support that we have been building on the campaign trail. We pledge to continue to work hard to earn the trust and vote of the people we hope to represent in Washington, D.C.”
