Carolinas HealthCare System Opens On-Site Patient Clinic For Springs Creative Employees

CHARLOTTE, NC — Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) has opened an on-site health and wellness clinic to provide primary healthcare services in Rock Hill for Springs Creative Products Group, a supplier of retail fabrics, packaged crafts and specially licensed products to major retailers and independent distributors.  Springs Creative has more than 100 employees.

The health and wellness center is open one day a week on alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays at the company's Distribution Center at 220 W. White St. in Rock Hill.  It is staffed by Brandy Farmer, a certified nurse practitioner, and a certified medical assistant.  Tuesday hours will be 6 – 10 p.m.; Thursday hours will be 7 – 11 a.m.

"Providing convenient, on-site care is becoming a high priority for companies that want to closely monitor their healthcare costs," said Russ Guerin, Executive Vice President at Carolinas HealthCare System.  "We look forward to helping Springs Creative employees stay healthier, and assisting the company in identifying new alternatives for employee health programs."

"This is a tremendous new benefit for our employees, and we expect to save money over time by keeping our employees healthier and reduce the number of hours lost to illness or injury."

The on-site clinic will offer care for minor illnesses and provide disease management and wellness counseling.  Visits to the clinic will be free for Springs Creative employees. The nurse practitioner at the site also can provide vaccinations such as flu shots.  The clinic will feature electronic medical records to ensure patient confidentiality and quick referrals if city employees need to be referred to their regular physician or another CHS medical facility for follow-up care.
