INDIANAPOLIS – Mayor Greg Ballard today issued an Executive Order rescinding the countywide burn ban issued June 27. The Executive Order in its entirety is attached.
This Executive Order does not change the prohibition on the use of personal fireworks displays through December 31, which is contained in existing city code.
This Order also does not impact the Executive Order declaring a water shortage warning, which contains mandatory water use restrictions including a ban on lawn watering. The water use restrictions and related exemptions will remain in effect until Citizens Energy Group notifies Mayor Ballard our water resources have returned to adequate levels and the need for mandatory restrictions no longer exists.
