3 children die after falling in icy lake in UK

LONDON (AA) – Three boys aged 8, 10 and 11 died after falling into a lake Sunday, police confirmed Monday morning.
Rescue teams pulled four children who fell in water after ice broke on the surface of the lake in Babbs Mill Park in Solihull.
“A number of people have been pulled from a lake and are being transported to hospital. They are believed to be in a critical condition,” West Midlands Police had said following the incident.
The children are believed to have been playing on the ice at the time of the incident.
The fourth boy, who is 6 years old, is in critical condition.
The incident came as subzero temperatures, snow and ice adversely affecting Britain.
