LONDON (AA) – British Airways apologized Tuesday for delays to some of its flights due to a technical issue with flight planning.
Following complaints from passengers on social media, the airline apologized to its customers after facing hours-long delays.
“Stranded at Antigua airport with no food or water, taxis or hotels offered yet. Plane delayed 20 hours,” actress Elizabeth Hurley said on Twitter.
“We’re experiencing delays to some of our flights due to a technical issue with our flight planning. We’re sorry for the disruption to your journey, we’re urgently investigating this so that you travel as soon as possible,” the airline replied on Twitter.
However, later Hurley tweeted that “Still nothing from @british_airways. Extraordinary service,” adding that after 12 hours with no food or water, they “finally managed” to find a taxi to escape the airport.
